KT Tunstall Sings Three New Songs in "Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast"

KT TUNSTALL LIGHTS UP PIXIE HOLLOW MARCH 3rd 2015 ON BLU-RAY

Singer/songwriter/musician KT Tunstall heads to Pixie Hollow to help bring animal fairy Fawn’s story to life in “Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast.” Tunstall performs three new songs in the film, including “Float,” “Strange Sight” and “1000 Years.”

“KT is a celebrated songwriter and musician,” says director Steve Loter. “She reminds me of Fawn in a way with her big heart and this amazing voice that has a little bit of edge and a tremendous amount of appeal.”

The all-new Tinker Bell film is about the relationship that develops between Fawn, a compassionate animal fairy who thinks with her heart, and Gruff, a massive beast with glowing green eyes who seems to be on a mission. “It’s a real action-adventure movie,” says Tunstall. “The characters are so cool. I was over the moon to take part. Disney Animation has such an incredible heritage of work, spanning decades, and it’s really special to be part of that.”

Tunstall had fun channeling the film’s heroine. “‘Float’ is Fawn’s opening theme,” she says. “It’s fantastic how she spends her days looking after all the animals around Pixie Hollow. The song says, ‘I’ll just float.’ She doesn’t have to have a reason, she just really loves having a pair of wings, so she’s going out for a fly, getting into trouble and mischief.”

The artist also helped introduce the NeverBeast. “‘Strange Sight’ is heard when Fawn discovers this beast living in the woods near Pixie Hollow,” says Tunstall. “He’s a huge, scary-looking guy, but she isn’t afraid. She wants to help him and make friends with him, but can’t work out what he is or what he’s doing with the rocks he’s collecting.”

The third song in Tunstall’s lineup, which she sings with singer/songwriter Bleu, is an emotional song that can be heard during the film’s end credits.

ABOUT KT TUNSTALL:
Tunstall has recorded five studio albums and received multiple Brit Award nominations including a win for female solo artist and a 2007 Grammy® nom for the song “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.” Her hit “Suddenly I See” was featured in the motion picture “The Devil Wears Prada,” which led her to her interest in composing for film including “The Kid,” “Winter’s Tale” and a collaboration with A.R. Rahman on the song “We Could Be Kings” for Disney’s “Million Dollar Arm.”

Young Actors Give Voice to Animated "The Peanuts Movie"

THE PEANUTS MOVIE Cast Announced

A Talented Team of Young Actors Give Voice to the Beloved Characters

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--“Wah wa-wah wa-wah wah. Wah wa-wah wa-wa wa wah wa-wah wa-wah wah wah wa-wah wa-wa wa wah. Wa-wah wa-wa wa wah wa-wah wa-wah wah wa-wah wa-wa wa wa-wah wah.”

    “Wah wa-wah wa-wah wah. Wah wa-wah wa-wa wa wah wa-wah wa-wah wah wah wa-wah wa-wa wa wah. Wa-wah wa-wa wa wah wa-wah wa-wah wah wa-wah wa-wa wa wa-wah wah.”

Aaugh! You’re a good man, Charlie Brown, but Twentieth Century Fox pulled the football out from under you and announced the voice casting for THE PEANUTS MOVIE today. The Great Houndini reports, “It was a dark and stormy night…”

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the cherished “Peanuts” gang will make their long awaited big-screen debut in stunning state of the art 3D animation.

Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace – embarks upon his greatest mission as he takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis The Red Baron, while his best pal, Charlie Brown, begins his own epic quest.

From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the Ice Age films, good grief, THE PEANUTS MOVIE is more than just a chip off the ole BlockHead, it’s a doggone cinematic spectacle.

Noah Schnapp voices the role of Good ol’ Charlie Brown, the lovable loser who never gives up. The young actor recently filmed a role opposite Tom Hanks in director Steven Spielberg’s untitled Cold War thriller. Most recently, Noah wrapped work on the indie film We Only Know So Much, based on the book of the same title.

Hadley Belle Miller provides the voice for Lucy, known around the neighborhood (and by her little brother, Linus) for being crabby and bossy and humiliating Charlie Brown. Hadley’s voiceover credits include Sofia the First and Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and she has appeared on stage and in commercials.

AJ Tecce voices Pig-Pen, who happily travels in his own private dust storm. AJ appeared in the films Raising Ethan and Stereopsis, and in several commercials. He’s also done extensive voiceover work.

Noah Johnston is Schroeder, a mini musical genius who is rarely separated from his toy piano or his idol, Beethoven. Noah voiced a role in Monsters University, and his television credits include The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Show with David Letterman, and The Daily Show.

Newcomer Venus Schultheis voices Peppermint Patty, a fearless born leader and a natural athlete who is up to any challenge…except studying. Venus wants to be a nurse and a cosmetologist, working on people’s hair and nails while they are in the hospital or a nursing home. (If you see Venus's hair, you'll understand!) She enjoys snowboarding, skim boarding and tennis.

Alexander Garfin gives voice to Linus, the benevolent, blanket-clutching philosopher who always has a kind word for everybody…even his bossy older sister, Lucy. Alexander’s numerous credits include the feature Salt, the television series Law & Order SVU and Saturday Night Live, and on stage, On Borrowed Time – and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Francesca Capaldi voices Little Red-Haired Girl, who has captured Charlie Brown’s heart; now, if only he could muster the courage to speak to her! Francesca had a guest-starring role in Disney’s A.N.T. Farm and on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother, is a series regular on Disney’s Dog with the Blog, and has appeared in the film 3-Day Test, as well as in several commercials.

Mar Mar voices Frankin, Charlie Brown’s good friend and confidant, and the only one who never has an unkind word about our hapless hero, or anyone else for that matter, Mar Mar has worked on the TV series Austin & Alley (on the Disney Channel), Guys with Kids, Bubble Guppies and Good Luck Charlie.

Mariel Sheets voices Sally, Charlie Brown’s little sister who believes the world owes her an answer for some of its most perplexing problems, such as: why does she have to go to school? Mariel has worked in film, appeared in national commercials, and done voiceovers for television, radio, and online.

Rebecca Bloom gives voice to Marcie, Peppermint Patty’s best friend, loyal follower, and complete opposite. Rebecca was featured on The Tonight Show, and has had roles on stage in Annie, The Jungle Book and How to Eat Like a Child.

William Alexander Wunsch voices Shermy, Charlie Brown’s friend, who is straight laced and dependable. William has extensive live performance experience, appeared in several commercials, and on Saturday Night Live with Jim Carrey.

Anastasia Bredikhina voices Patty, and Madisyn Shipman voices Violet – best friends who always side with the popular crowd. Anastasia is a trained actor, dancer, musician and model; Madisyn has appeared on Modern Love, Sesame Street, Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show.

THE PEANUTS MOVIE flies into theaters everywhere on November 6, 2015. That year marks the 65th anniversary of the debut of the “Peanuts” comic strip and the 50th anniversary of the landmark television special, “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

Charles Schulz drew the most popular and influential comic strip of all time, which was read every day by 355 million people in 75 countries. In addition to the famous strip, Peanuts holiday television specials such as It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown have won Emmys and are among the highest rated prime time TV specials.

Steve Martino directs THE PEANUTS MOVIE; previously, he brought to the big screen (with Jimmy Hayward) Fox/Blue Sky’s Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! Martino also directed (with Michael Thurmeier) Fox’s recent box-office smash Ice Age: Continental Drift.

The screenplay is by Craig Schulz and the writing team of Bryan Schulz & Cornelius Uliano. Craig Schulz and Bryan Schulz, respectively Mr. Schulz’s son and grandson, along with Uliano and Paul Feig are producing. Feig, the director of the blockbuster comedies "Bridesmaids" and "The Heat" and the upcoming "Spy," is a lifelong "Peanuts" fan.

The film, which had dominated the global box office in its first two weekends in release, had a phenomenal opening in China, where it has taken in an outstanding Rmb 505m ($82.5m) in the first 12 days in release and is already the second highest grossing film for the studio. The film is now the biggest Warner Bros. release ever in Korea and, in Russia, is already the highest-grossing Christopher Nolan film ever. It has shown incredible resilience, dropping only 21% in its second weekend and, over the third weekend, had an outstanding hold of -37% in a highly competitive marketplace.

Moviegoers wanting to take the journey on the largest possible canvas flocked to see “Interstellar” in IMAX theaters, generating a global total of $13.5 million in its third weekend. To date, the film has earned $33.3 million domestically and $38.7 million internationally for a worldwide total of $72 million on IMAX screens.

Said Colligan, “It is so thrilling to know that audiences of all ages—and the world over—have been captivated by Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar.’ We are excited to see that the tremendous reaction to the film is being shared among moviegoers everywhere.”

Kwan Vandenberg stated, “Christopher Nolan and his remarkable cast and filmmaking team have delivered another compelling cinematic ride that demands to be experienced on the big screen. The response of both critics and audiences alike is a testament to the film’s originality, spectacular visuals and emotional heft, and we expect enthusiastic word of mouth to continue to propel box office returns as we head into the busy holiday season.”

Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Knight” films, “Inception”) directed an international cast in “Interstellar,” led by Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey (“Dallas Buyers Club”), Oscar winner Anne Hathaway (“Les MisĂ©rables”), Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Bill Irwin (“Rachel Getting Married”), Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn (“Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore”), Oscar nominee John Lithgow (“The World According to Garp,” “Terms of Endearment”) and Oscar winner Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules”). The main cast also includes Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Topher Grace and David Gyasi.

“Interstellar” was written by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan. Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Lynda Obst produced the film, with Jordan Goldberg, Jake Myers, Kip Thorne and Thomas Tull serving as executive producers.

Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team was led by director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema (“Her”), Oscar-nominated production designer Nathan Crowley (“The Dark Knight”), Oscar-nominated editor Lee Smith (“The Dark Knight”), and Oscar-nominated costume designer Mary Zophres (“True Grit”). The score was composed by Oscar winner Hans Zimmer (“The Dark Knight” trilogy, “The Lion King”). Oscar winner Paul Franklin (“Inception”) served as visual effects supervisor and Scott Fisher (“The Dark Knight Rises”) as special effects supervisor.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures present, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Syncopy/Lynda Obst Productions production, a film by Christopher Nolan, “Interstellar.” The film has been rated PG-13 for some intense perilous action and brief strong language.

Review: Jennifer Lawrence Burns in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire"

PRODUCERS: Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik
CINEMATOGRAPHER: Jo Willems
EDITOR: Alan Edward Bell
COMPOSER: James Newton Howard
Golden Globe nominee

SCI-FI/DRAMA/THRILLER

Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Lenny Kravitz, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seyour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Amanda Plummer, Sam Claflin, Willow Shields, Paul Malcomson, Lynn Cohen, Jena Malone, and Toby Jones

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is a 2013 dystopian science fiction film directed by Francis Lawrence, and it is also a direct sequel to the 2012 film, The Hunger GamesThe Hunger Games: Catching Fire is based upon Suzanne Collins’ 2009 novel, Catching Fire, the second novel in The Hunger Games trilogy.  In Catching Fire the movie, Katniss Everdeen becomes a target of the Capitol after her victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion.

The Hunger Games takes place in a post-apocalyptic future, and what was once North America is now the nation of Panem.  Panem is composed of 12 districts and The Capitol, which rules over the districts. Every year, The Capitol takes one boy and one girl (called “tributes”) from each of the 12 districts to become contestants in The Hunger Games.  Part entertainment and part intimidation of the 12 districts, these games are broadcast throughout Panem, and the 24 participants must fight to the death until only one of them remains alive – the victor.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens a few months after the first film.  Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) were the winners of the 74th Hunger Games.  Now, the young victors have returned to their home, the impoverished District 12, and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) is waiting for Katniss.  Snow is upset that the outcome of the most recent Games has sparked rebellion in the districts of Panem, with Katniss' actions in the Games being the inspiration for rebellion in the districts.

Katniss (“The Girl on Fire”) and Peeta (“The Baker's Boy”) are going on a victory tour through the districts.  During this tour, Snow wants Katniss to sell the untrue idea that her actions in the Games were out of genuine love for Peeta and were not an act of defiance against the Capitol.  This scheme doesn't exactly work out.  So Snow calls for the 75th Hunger Games to be special.  These Games will be a “Quarter Quell,” and the tributes will be selected from previous victors.  Katniss and Peeta suddenly find themselves in the Games again, and this time, the target on Katniss' back comes from players inside and outside of the Games.

Catching Fire is the middle book in Suzanne Collin's Hunger Games trilogy, although the third book, Mockingjay, is being adapted as two film.  However, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire doesn't suffer the fate of some middle films in a trilogy.  Sometimes, the middle film can come across as filler material, or it can be packed with too many characters that are not important or too many subplots that won't be resolved until the third film.  An example of that is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which was a collection of pointless action scenes that didn't really serve much of a purpose beyond titillating young males and selling lots of tickets.

Catching Fire the movie is intense and gripping, almost every scene is important, not just to what came before or what will come after, but also to the story being told now.  When I reviewed the first film two-and-a-half years ago, I wrote that I could say without reservation that The Hunger Games captures the sense of the life and death struggle of Katniss and her competitors.  I can say the same for Catching Fire.  Like its predecessor, this movie is driven by character drama and by intimate man vs. man confrontations/encounters that freely range from sudden romance and friendship to cold-bloodied murder and assorted calculated cruelties.

I will say that I think this film offers more characters than the story can present in full-measure, not revealing how rich and how important they are.  However, almost every character does enough to be interesting or intriguing, and there are many excellent performances.  Donald Sutherland is even better and more menacing as President Snow than he was in the first film.  Woody Harrelson manages to further develop Haymitch Abernathy, surprisingly showing that there is much more to the character than one might think.  Josh Hutcherson makes Peeta Mellark the dashing young hero and co-lead that he could not be in the first film, even if that was the intention.  And I'm always happy to see Jeffrey Wright, although I wish his character, Beetee Latier, had more meat on the bone i.e. substance.

Still, as was true in The Hunger Games, Jennifer Lawrence is everything to Catching Fire. Whatever problems this film may have, Lawrence’s skill-set as an actor delivers a performance that glosses over narrative and cinematic glitches.  She is a true movie star, and her radiant presence bleeds across the screen, leaving me awash in the essence of Katniss.  Pardon my lack of articulation, but Jennifer is the real deal.

In the first film, we watched a young woman, Katniss, who was a poor nobody, struggle to survive and ultimately to triumph, becoming a star and a legend.  Catching Fire depicts Katniss' struggle to accept her fate.  The adventure is calling the hero, and she has to be dragged towards her destiny.  This kind of story is an archetype, and when told correctly, it can be mesmerizing.  So, as she did before, Jennifer Lawrence makes The Hunger Games: Catching Fire more than it ought to be.

"Annabelle" is Now the Highest Grossing Horror Film of 2014

New Line Cinema’s “Annabelle” is Unstoppable, Passing $250 Million in Global Box Office

The doll we love to hate scares her way to the top of 2014’s horror hit list

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New Line Cinema’s “Annabelle” has now taken in over $250 million at the worldwide box office, with a tally of $250.2 million to date. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, President, International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

“‘Annabelle’ has continued to entertain audiences who love the horror genre. Congratulations to our partners at New Line and the talented filmmakers and cast who made this film such a far-reaching fan favorite.”

The supernatural thriller, from director John R. Leonetti and producers Peter Safran and James Wan, has taken in $83.8 million domestically and $166.4 million internationally, making it the highest grossing horror film of 2014 in both arenas, as well as worldwide.

Fellman, in making the announcement, stated, “‘Annabelle’ has continued to entertain audiences who love the horror genre. Congratulations to our partners at New Line and the talented filmmakers and cast who made this film such a far-reaching fan favorite.”

Kwan Vandenberg added, “John, James and Peter delivered a film that has resonated globally, giving moviegoers everywhere the kind of exhilaration that keeps them coming back for more.”

She terrified you in “The Conjuring,” but this is where it all began for Annabelle.

Capable of unspeakable evil, the actual doll exists locked up in an occult museum in Connecticut—visited only by a priest who blesses her twice a month.

New Line Cinema’s supernatural thriller “Annabelle” begins before the evil was unleashed.

John Form has found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia—a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia’s delight with Annabelle doesn’t last long. On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind. The cultists have conjured an entity so malevolent that nothing they did will compare to the sinister conduit to the damned that is now…Annabelle.

Annabelle Wallis (“X-Men: First Class”) and Ward Horton (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) star as the Forms. Oscar nominee Alfre Woodard (“Cross Creek,” “Twelve Years a Slave”) stars as Evelyn, a neighbor who owns a bookstore. Rounding out the cast are Kerry O’Malley (TV’s “Those Who Kill”) and Brian Howe (“Devil’s Knot”) as neighbors Sharon and Pete Higgins; Tony Amendola (TV’s “Once Upon A Time”) as Father Perez; and Eric Ladin (TV’s “Boardwalk Empire”) as Detective Clarkin.

“Annabelle” reunites the filmmakers behind 2013’s hugely successful supernatural thriller “The Conjuring.” John R. Leonetti, who served as cinematographer on “The Conjuring,” directed the film. James Wan, director of the global hit, produced “Annabelle” with Peter Safran.

Gary Dauberman wrote the script. Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter and Hans Ritter served as the executive producers. Also joining Leonetti behind the scenes were director of photography James Kniest, production designer Bob Ziembicki, editor Tom Elkins, and costume designer Janet Ingram. Joseph Bishara composed the score.

New Line Cinema presents an Atomic Monster/Safran Company Production, “Annabelle.” The film has been rated R for intense sequences of disturbing violence and terror. It is being distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment company.

"Interstellar" Soundtrack on Sale Today, Nov. 18th, 2014

INTERSTELLAR SOUNDTRACK WITH MUSIC BY HANS ZIMMER OUT NOV 18

THREE VERSIONS TO BE MADE AVAILABLE INCLUDING A STAR WHEEL CONSTELLATION CHART DIGIPAK AND AN ILLUMINATED STAR PROJECTION EDITION WITH BONUS DISC

WaterTower Music proudly announces the Tuesday, November 18, 2014 release of Interstellar: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, with music by renowned composer Hans Zimmer, whose career has earned him Grammy, Golden Globe, Classical Brit, Academy, Tony, and American Music Awards. The soundtrack will be available in three configurations: a Star Wheel Constellation Chart Digipak, a deluxe digital-only version, and an Illuminated Star Projection Edition with bonus content (coming later this year).

Interstellar, from Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, pairs the creative forces of Hans Zimmer and esteemed director Christopher Nolan, who collaborated previously on The Dark Knight film trilogy and Inception. “Chris wanted us to push the limits,” offers Zimmer. “Every conversation was about pushing boundaries and exploring new territories. This movie virtually dictates that you put everything on the line and keep the laboratory doors wide open and experiment to the very end. It tested our limits: the limits of what musicians are capable of, the limits of what could be recorded, the limits of everyone's stamina, commitment and invention, and I think we got it.”

"I believe that Hans’ score for Interstellar has the tightest bond between music and image that we’ve yet achieved,” Nolan reflected. “And we’re excited for people to be able to revisit the soundtrack once they’ve had the chance to experience the music in the film itself."

Each release is now available for pre-order.  The Star Wheel Constellation Digipak and the Digital Deluxe Album will be available November 18, and the Illuminated Star Projection Edition is scheduled to ship later this year.

·       Star Wheel Constellation Chart Digipak (Pre-Order): contains 16 tracks from the film

·       Digital Deluxe Album (Pre-Order) includes 22 songs from the film

·       The Illuminated Star Projection Edition (Pre-Order) features special illuminated star projection packaging, 2 CDs featuring 28 tracks, including 30 minutes of music unavailable anywhere else, and more.

“INTERSTELLAR” opens with advance screenings in IMAX® 70mm film, 70mm film and 35mm film formats on Wednesday, November 5th, two days ahead of its nationwide release on November 7th. The advance showings will play in select theaters in more than 240 locations across the U.S. and Canada.

“INTERSTELLAR” stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow and Michael Caine. With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history; traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars. Directed by Christopher Nolan, written by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan, and produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Lynda Obst.
