Comic Book Guests
Comic books continue to be the fastest growing form of print-based media with the category up 5% as of October 2015 compared to the prior year. Reading comics is an adventure of the imagination, and comic fans can experience new stories and adventures through the comic art that is sold at conventions. Fans collect original comic art and limited edition prints of their favorite characters.
“Groot, from Guardians of the Galaxy, is my favorite character,” said Sandy Martin, co-founder of Magic City Comic Con. “He reminds me of my first hero, my grandfather. When I go to comic cons, I collect original sketches of Groot from artists.”
Magic City Comic Con features some of the best comic book artists from all over the world. The promoters are flying in top artists from Brazil, Italy, and Great Britain to meet with their American fans. This is a rare opportunity for comic fans to meet international creators, ask them questions, get an autograph, and maybe a sketch as well.
