CARTOONIST SINA GRACE TO LAUNCH SELF-OBSESSED WEB SERIES
Inspired by acclaimed graphic novel, the five episode series stars Grace, Amber Benson, Adam Busch & Jon Gabrus
Cartoonist Sina Grace will debut a web series based on his 2015 Image Comics graphic novel SELF-OBSESSED on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Directed by friend and longtime collaborator on the hit comic series BURN THE ORPHANAGE, Daniel Freedman (Undying Love), SELF-OBSESSED is a comedic look at the life of a gay LA-based cartoonist who struggles to find his creative mojo amidst a break-up, a book cancellation, and an overall crisis of faith in his own work. Grace stars in the series alongside Amber Benson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Adam Busch (Colony, Empire) and Jon Gabrus (MTV’s Guy Code, TVLand’s Younger).
When Sina breaks up with his latest boyfriend, he’s heart-broken. When the book he’s working on is cancelled, he’s devastated. SELF-OBSESSED follows Sina on a hilarious journey as he tries to rediscover his passions for drawing and life. From striking out at a gay bear sex party to getting sage advice from his best friend Amber to visiting an old flame Jon in San Francisco, Sina tries to keep it together. Will he remember why he started drawing in the first place or will he obsess over where he went wrong?
“Making the book Self-Obsessed taught me to follow every idea down every meta rabbit hole,” said Grace. “It seemed like the only logical next step to bare it all on screen, surrounded by my best friends.”
SELF-OBSESSED features a killer soundtrack thanks to musicians in and out of Los Angeles, such as Feels, Colleen Green, Nick Diamonds, Post Life, Hot as Sun, Exray’s, Caleb Nichols, Purr Snickety, Cold Showers, and more.

"This will be the greatest collection of Marvel stars in one convention setting," said John Macaluso, Wizard World CEO. A wide variety of VIP admission packages for individual and groups of the Marvel stars are now available. Fans can visit wizd.me/PhiladelphiaMarvel for options.
Evans, who has emerged as one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors for both big budget and independent features, can next be seen in Captain America: Civil War, the third installment of Marvel’s Captain America franchise. In each film, Evans, who attended his first Wizard World event in New Orleans in January, reprises his role as the famed Marvel Comics character, “Steve Rogers,” who transforms into Captain America after volunteering for a top secret research project in hopes of defending America’s ideals. Both films grossed over $713 million each at box offices worldwide.

Three years later, Hemsworth also starred in Universal’s big revisionist fairy tale Snow White And The Huntsman opposite Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart and in the horror feature The Cabin in the Woods. As prolific as 2012 was for the Melbourne, Australia, native, 2015 was even bigger, with four feature films including The Avengers: Age of Ultron, In the Heart of the Sea, Vacation and Blackhat. He also will play the lead in the sequel The Huntsman Winter's War and a key role in the reboot of Ghostbusters, both scheduled for release this year.
Hiddleston, who played "Loki" in Thor: The Dark World, The Avengers and Thor, will also be featured in the lead role this month's I Saw the Light, about the life of country-western singer Hank Williams. The London-born star has top billing in the series "The Night Manager" and had a co-starring role in last year's hit film Crimson Peak.
The Marvel stars join an already standout Wizard World Philadelphia celebrity field which includes David Duchovny ("The X-Files"), the Back to the Future trio of Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson and "The Walking Dead" standout Norman Reedus, with many more to be announced.

J.K. Rowling Introduces Audiences to Magic in North America
New Original Writing by J.K. Rowling Invites Audiences to Explore the Wizarding World of North America on Pottermore.com
A Video That Serves as a Prologue to the New Writing Debuted Today, Setting the Scene for the Upcoming Feature Film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”
BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leading up to the November 18th, 2016 release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated feature “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” J.K. Rowling has crafted a collection of new original writing entitled Magic in North America, to introduce audiences to a new place and time in the wizarding world that she has created.
The first installment, “History of Magic in North America,” was introduced with the global launch of a 100-second specially produced video that serves as a prologue to the new original writing by J.K. Rowling. The writing will be posted on pottermore.com over four consecutive days beginning Tuesday, March 8th, 2016, at 6 a.m. PST. These four pieces will enlighten readers about a previously unexplored corner of the wizarding world: North American witches and wizards, their history and their magic. The video broke simultaneously on selected media sites around the world and links viewers to “History of Magic in North America,” which will soon be available exclusively at pottermore.com.
The video and the writing provide context and backstory for the feature film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
Rowling, who first conceived the wizarding world in her enormously popular Harry Potter books, had introduced wizards and witches from other parts of Europe in the series, most notably in the Quidditch World Cup and Triwizard Tournament. However, this marks the first time we’ll learn the fascinating story of the history of magic in North America.
About “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”:
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”) stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” also stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove, and Colin Farrell.
The film marks the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling, whose script was inspired by the Hogwarts textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, written by her character Newt Scamander.
The film reunites a number of people from the “Harry Potter” features, including producers David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.
Opening November 18, 2016, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

In addition to making her screenwriting debut with the film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” J.K. Rowling is currently collaborating on a stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II, which will open in London’s West End in the summer of 2016. Image Comics Announces Sixth "East of West" Story Arc
EAST OF WEST USHERS IN ITS SIXTH ARC
New York Times bestselling creative team Jonathan Hickman (THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS, THE DYING AND THE DEAD) and Nick Dragotta (HOWTOONS) will launch the sixth arc in their ongoing sci-fi western series EAST OF WEST this April.
Previously in EAST OF WEST, an impressive cavalcade of characters let loose their pawns in a cunning game of deception. Loyalties shifted, alliances were betrayed, old friends were murdered—all in service of, or to thwart, the Apocalypse.
In EAST OF WEST #25, the smashing conclusion of EAST OF WEST: YEAR TWO begins here. Witness the eventful last gathering of the Chosen before the Apocalypse begins. No one gets out alive!
“We’ve reached that wonderful part in the story where everything starts to go very, very wrong for everyone involved,” said Hickman. “And in a book that’s basically about the end of the world, I think we can promise only the most dramatic things for our characters.”
Dragotta added: “And visually, these are the really big scenes we’ve been building towards since the beginning of EAST of WEST. Not only do all of my favorite characters return, but the way in which they do so has been some of the most fun I’ve had drawing. Ever!”

Demi Lovato Among New Voices Added to "Smurfs: The Lost Village"
New Smurfs In The Village! Sony Pictures Animation Announces Additional Cast For SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE
Culver City, CA – Sony Pictures Animation today announced the addition of three new cast for the lineup of talent in the next Smurf adventure Smurfs: The Lost Village, hitting theaters March 31, 2017.
Joining the already announced Demi Lovato as Smurfette, Rainn Wilson as Gargamel and Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf will be: triple Emmy nominee Jack McBrayer (30 Rock, Wreck-It Ralph) as the sweet, awkward and honest-to-a-fault Clumsy, who’s forever trying his best and missing the mark; Danny Pudi (Community) as book smart and geek proud Brainy, who’s long on knowledge, but short on inter-Smurf-onal skills; and Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike) as the strong and super-positive Hefty, a loyal dynamo struggling with his hero complex.
The newest entry in the Columbia Pictures movie franchise that has grossed more than $900 million globally, Smurfs: The Lost Village is set for a worldwide release on March 31, 2017. The fully-animated return to the tone and style of the beloved comic book creations of Peyo is directed by Kelly Asbury (Shrek 2, Gnomeo & Juliet), produced by Jordan Kerner (Charlotte's Web, The Smurfs), co-produced by Mary Ellen Bauder (Hotel Transylvania), and executive produced by Raja Gosnell and Ben Waisbren.
It seems to Smurfette that everyone else in the Village has a purpose — Papa Smurf (leading), Baker Smurf (baking), even Grouchy Smurf (grouching) — except for her. So what’s the only girl in the village to do? Go in search of hers, of course! When she accidentally crosses paths with a mysterious creature that takes off into the Enchanted Forest, she follows, and sets off into the uncharted and strictly forbidden woods. Joined by her brothers Brainy, Hefty and Clumsy — and with the evil wizard Gargamel shadowing their every step — Team Smurf undertakes a wild journey full of action, danger and discovery, setting them on a course that leads to the biggest mystery in Smurf history!
