LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chris Pratt, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Ellen DeGeneres, Adam Sandler, Robert Downey Jr., Shawn Mendes, Zendaya, Noah Centineo, Selena Gomez, Joey King, Jace Norman, JoJo Siwa, David Dobrik, Avengers: Infinity War, Riverdale and DJ Khaled were among those who won coveted orange blimps at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2019 on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Hosted by music mogul DJ Khaled, the unpredictable and always messy awards show was broadcast live from USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles, where kids celebrated their favorites in pop culture, television, music, social media and movies.
This year’s party kicked off with DJ Khaled making his way to the Kids’ Choice Awards in style, with an assist from friends Kylie Jenner and the Jonas Brothers. His next-level arrival began with a ride in a Rolls Royce Phantom, followed by a cruise on a luxury yacht, and a trip on board the “Kids’ Force One” helicopter before landing at the Kids’ Choice Awards.
There was no shortage of slime and epic moments from this year’s show: Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott from Disney’s Aladdin arrived on a magic carpet and made the audience’s slime-filled wishes come true, dousing Smith and kids in green goo; DJ Khaled had to don a JoJo bow after losing a dance battle to JoJo Siwa in a live vote; Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez and Michael Peña, from Dora and the Lost City of Gold, world premiered the trailer for the upcoming Paramount Players live-action movie; DJ Khaled then surprised the audience by unboxing social media sensation Ryan of Ryan ToysReview; social media star David Dobrik, Chris Pratt, Josh Peck and Adam Sandler were soaked from head to toe; and the show culminated with DJ Khaled turning up the volume one last time with the biggest sliming of the night, blanketing the first-time host and the crowd.
Multiplatinum hip-hop trio Migos performed their hits “Walk It Talk It” and “Stir Fry,” along with rising single “Pure Water,” accompanied by DJ Durel. Members of the original Broadway cast of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical--Allan Washington (“Plankton”), Brian Ray (“Mr. Krabs”), Christina Sajous (“Sandy”), Danny Skinner (“Patrick”), Ethan Slater (“SpongeBob”) and Gavin Lee (“Squidward”)--also made their KCA debut with a medley of “Best Day Ever” and the animated show’s iconic theme song.
Additional celebrities in attendance include: Paris Berelc, Ally Brooke, Lana Condor, Joel Courtney, Jennifer Hudson, Jack & Jack, Liza Koshy, Caleb McLaughlin, Janelle Monáe, Shameik Moore, Bebe Rexha, Kiernan Shipka, Lilly Singh, SSSniperWolf and Jason Sudeikis; cast members of Shazam! (Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer and Zachary Levi) and Fuller House (Andrea Barber, Soni Nicole Bringas, Candace Cameron Bure, Michael Campion, Elias Harger, Jodie Sweetin and Scott Weinger); plus Nickelodeon stars from Henry Danger, Cousins For Life and Knight Squad.
Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2019 will encore on TeenNick, Monday, March 25, 2019, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) and on Nicktoons, Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The show will also be available on Nickelodeon On Demand beginning Sunday, March 24, 2019. "The Dick Van Dyke Show" Scripts Go to National Comedy Center
National Comedy Center, Carl Reiner Announce Preservation of Historic “Dick Van Dyke Show” Archive
JAMESTOWN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Comedy Center and legendary producer, director, and writer Carl Reiner announced Wednesday, March 20th, 2019, on Carl Reiner’s 97th birthday, an initiative to digitally preserve Reiner’s extensive personal collection of production-used scripts from “The Dick Van Dyke Show” – one of the most iconic, innovative, and beloved comedy series in television history.
On Carl Reiner's 97th birthday, the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, NY announced that it is digitally preserving his personal collection of production-used scripts from the Dick Van Dyke Show. @carlreiner #NationalComedyCenter
The scripts, which are heavily annotated in Reiner’s own hand, have been stored away since the series wrapped production in 1966, and have never before been made available to a cultural institution for conservation or exhibition. Scripts for all 158 episodes, totaling more than 7,500 pages, feature detailed edits and additions made in real-time during the writing, read-throughs and rehearsals for each episode – providing extraordinary access into the script development and creative process for the 15-time Emmy-winning situation comedy.
“There’s nothing more satisfying than having an idea and seeing it through to find out that, not only did you like it, but the audience and critics all seemed to agree.” said Carl Reiner. “When asked, ‘Of all the theatrical projects you’ve done in your life, what are you most proud of?’ I always say, hands down, it’s creating and producing ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show.’ It was a labor of love.”
“I applaud The National Comedy Center for keeping the creative fires burning by singling out and preserving something most people feel deserves preservation,” added Reiner.
“This is a treasure trove of original material, direct from the pen of one of comedy’s most important and resounding voices,” said Journey Gunderson, National Comedy Center Executive Director. “We are honored that Carl Reiner has placed his trust in us as we preserve this incredible body of work -- which will enable future generations of comedy fans and scholars to understand the creative process behind one of the most influential TV series of all time.”
Carl Reiner drafted the show’s pilot script sixty years ago – in 1959 – and it remains a high-water mark in the history of comedy, and in American popular culture. Inspired by Reiner’s experiences as a co-star and writer on Sid Caesar’s legendary “Your Show of Shows” and “Caesar’s Hour” variety shows, “The Dick Van Dyke Show” starred Dick Van Dyke as television writer Rob Petrie, Mary Tyler Moore as his wife Laura Petrie, and Morey Amsterdam and Rose Marie as writing colleagues for the fictional “Alan Brady Show.” Reiner would make occasional appearances as Rob’s egocentric boss Alan Brady. The series originally aired on CBS from 1961 until 1966. It continues to be a major influence on television comedy and comedy creative talent to this day.
The National Comedy Center also announced the acquisition of production documents and scripts from the collection of award-winning situation comedy director John Rich, who helmed the first 41 episodes of “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” The John Rich Collection also includes original annotated scripts from his tenure as the original director of the groundbreaking Norman Lear series “All in the Family.”
The Reiner and Rich materials will join the National Comedy Center’s growing archive, which houses creative materials from the careers of comedy innovators including George Carlin, Lucille Ball, Shelley Berman, Lenny Bruce and more. In 2018, the Center acquired the expansive archive of comedienne and singer Rose Marie, whose portrayal of “Sally Rogers” on “The Dick Van Dyke Show” was an early and significant representation of an independent professional woman on television.
Collectively, the Reiner, Rich, and Rose Marie materials constitute the most comprehensive “Dick Van Dyke Show” archive yet assembled.
“Never before has so much original material from ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’ -- from scripts to backstage photos to production documents -- been assembled into one archive for preservation,” said Laura LaPlaca, National Comedy Center Director of Archives. “Carl Reiner’s personal scripts, together with the Rose Marie and John Rich Archives, provide extraordinary insight into the creation of this landmark TV series and greater appreciation for why it still resonates with comedy creators and fans over a half-century since its original network run.”
Carl Reiner’s career as a writer, producer, director and actor spans seven decades. He is a 12-time Emmy award winner, a Grammy award winner, a recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and a member of the National Comedy Center Advisory Board.
The late John Rich was a three-time Emmy award winner, two-time Golden Globe winner, and NAACP Image award winner who was an instrumental member of the Directors Guild of America for six decades.

SuBLime Serves Up "Candy Color Paradox" Yaoi Manga
YAOI MANGA PUBLISHER SUBLIME MANGA ANNOUNCES CANDY COLOR PARADOX
Romance Blossoms Between Bickering Stakeout Partners In CANDY COLOR PARADOX
San Francisco, CA – SuBLime, the leading global English-language yaoi manga publisher, announces a new romantic comedy from Isaku Natsume with the release of CANDY COLOR PARADOX on March 12th, 2019.
CANDY COLOR PARADOX is rated ‘M’ for Mature Readers. Print editions will carry an MSRP of $12.99 U.S. / $17.99 CAN each. Digital editions of CANDY COLOR PARADOX will carry an MSRP of $6.99 U.S. per volume. Readers have two methods of digital access to the series on SuBLimeManga.com – a DRM-free downloadable PDF, viewable on any enabled eReader device and computer, as well as via the online manga viewer. Fans can also purchase a digital version through NOOK, Kindle, Kobo, Google Play, and ComiXology. SuBLime will publish subsequent volumes of CANDY COLOR PARADOX on a quarterly basis.
Satoshi Onoe, a reporter for a weekly magazine, has a new stakeout partner, and he’s anything but thrilled about it. Photographer Motoharu Kaburagi’s unconventional reporting methods and overall bad attitude are enough to drive Onoe insane. But the more the two work together, the closer they get.
“Despite reporter Onoe and photographer Kaburagi’s constant bickering on their stakeouts, these polar opposites soon discover a strong mutual attraction,” says Marlene First, Editor. “Readers will fall in love with this new work from one of the most highly regarded yaoi authors.”
Isaku Natsume’s previous works include SuBLime titles FALSE MEMORIES, GINGER HONEY, and DEVIL’S HONEY as well as Dash!, Tight Rope, and her debut title, No Color. She has also published several doujinshi (independent comics) under the circle names “139” and “Cheke-rara.”
