Album Features Music from Season One of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” Including the Show’s Theme and Six Cast Performances
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WaterTower Music has announced today’s release of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Season One (Original Television Soundtrack), the 19-song collection that includes music from both Part One and Part Two of the Netflix series that re-imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and witchcraft. The album will be available for streaming and purchase digitally on April 5, 2019 coinciding with new episodes of the show (Season One, Part Two) which launch the same day on Netflix. The Soundtrack features the theme from the show, “Main Title (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina)” by composer Adam Taylor, six performances from the cast, along with a wide range of songs that are featured in the show.
“Like the show itself, the songs of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina are current, vintage, cutting edge and familiar (with a twist), and these elements create the musical character for the show,” explains Alexandra Patsavas, who assembled the music in the show and produced the soundtrack. “Creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacassa always had a very specific musical signature in mind for the series - we discussed it before the pilot was shot and edited.
Archival tracks like ‘Bad Moon Rising’ by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Devo’s ‘Girl U Want,’ and The Cramps’ ‘New Kind Of Kick’ are interwoven with beautiful, often darker reworkings of beloved standards like Sylvia Gordon’s ‘I Put A Spell On You’ and The Stray Cats’ ‘Sixteen Candles.’ In addition, brand new artists like Valerie Broussard, Peter Matthew Bauer and Beck Pete are showcased. Finally, and perhaps the most ‘Sabrina’ of all (and part of Roberto’s vision for the musical character if you will), are the original cast recordings produced by Leonard Jay Jackson. About Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Season 1
Part 1 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as chief creative officer of Archie Comics, penned the script for the series. Captain Marvel crossed the $1 billion mark globally, becoming the seventh release from Marvel Studios to reach this milestone. The film has earned $358 million domestically and $645 million internationally through Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
In its opening weekend (March 8–10, 2019), Captain Marvel had the biggest domestic debut of 2019, with $153 million in the U.S., and its $455 million global total marked the second biggest worldwide debut for a superhero film, behind only Avengers: Infinity War.
To date, the 21 films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have collectively earned more than $18.5 billion in global box office, averaging more than $880 million per film. Captain Marvel will appear next in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame, opening April 26, 2019.

VIZ Media has some highly anticipated new home media and publishing releases debuting this month. New titles include set 1 of the anime series BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS, as well as MY HERO ACADEMIA: SCHOOL BRIEFS, a short story collection based on the hit superhero action series created by Kohei Horikoshi. NIER:AUTOMATA: SHORT STORY LONG is the second novel adaptation based on the best-selling video game. Horror master Junji Ito’s SMASHED: JUNJI ITO STORY COLLECTION will contain thirteen manga stories and debut later in the month.
The last two titles set for release include THE ART OF NAUSICAÄ OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND and NAUSICCAÄ OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND PICTURE BOOK. Each book features vivid Studio Ghibli art from the legendary director Hayao Miyazaki.

Image Comics Opens "Section Zero" April 3rd
PORTLAND, OR — The award winning team of writer Karl Kesel (Superboy, Harley Quinn) and artist Tom Grummett (The Death of Superman) return to their fan-favorite, critically acclaimed series, Section Zero. The science-fiction adventure is set to launch from Image/Shadowline Comics this April 2019.
Section Zero kicks off with Part One: "Ground Zero," where readers meet a team of fearless adventurers. Together the crew uncovers the secrets behind UFOs, monsters, and lost civilizations in a story that can best be described as, "Jack Kirby does The X-Files."
Section Zero will feature alternate covers by super-star artists including Walter Simonson, George Perez, Adam Hughes, Dave Gibbons, Mike Wieringo, and many more!
